You just got some starter! Congrats!

Starter can be used for many baking treats! Breads, Muffins, Pancakes, Cookies and more! But, it is a living thing that needs to be taken care of! But don't fret! It's easy!

Feeding:

When feeding, you'll want to use High Protein flour, like bread flour. How much of water & flour you feed your starter will be on the 1:1:1 ratio!

This means:

1 part starter

1 part flour

1 part water

So, if you want to keep 300 grams of starter, you would use;

100g starter

100g flour

100g water

You're end results should look like pancake batter!

Feeding Schedule:

If you got your starter from me, Matt, your starter has been fed the day it was given! You should of gotten around 50g of starter!

How much you want to bake will decide how much you feed your starter! If you plan to bake daily, you should keep your starter on the counter, and feed it every 12 hours!

If you plan to bake 1-2 times a week, leave your starter in your fridge, and feed it once a week!
